The Entrance Exam: Instrumentation and Control Technician Skill Path is designed to assess your knowledge and readiness for one of the most critical and foundational courses in automation and control systems. This test is the first step towards enrollment in the full Instrumentation and Control Techncian courses.

Eligibility

  1. 2+ years of experience with Motor Controls (motor starts, variable frequency drives, DC drives, and standard electrical components) as well as troubleshooting/programming, including HMI components, Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs, and industrial electrical hands-on experience and troubleshooting.
  2. 1+ year of experience with repair of control network components.
  3. Some experience with robotic systems maintenance, including robot, tool, hydraulic systems, and teach pendant.
  4. SACA certification in a relevant area can be used as a substitute for some experience

This entrance exam evaluates your understanding of basic engineering principles, mathematics, and systems control to ensure you are prepared to dive into these advanced topics. An 80% or higher score is required to qualify for full course enrollment.
